Batty!, a one-woman show at the Town Hall

Victoria Firth's one-woman show about Batty, who dreams of wild swimming and running barefoot, brought to Thirsk and Sowerby Town Hall by Rural Arts On Tour

Batty wants a wilder life: barefoot running, wild swimming, talking trees and the smell of the seasons turning, and she is starting to wonder whether she might be a witch. Victoria Firth and Company perform it as part of the Rural Arts touring programme.

It runs about 65 minutes, with a question and answer session afterwards, and Rural Arts recommend it for ages 14 and over. The Town Hall is on Westgate, out of the square by Castlegate, about five minutes on foot from our door.
