Christmas Experience Days and Winter Opening at Flamingo Land
Flamingo Land near Malton opens for Christmas Experience Days on December weekends and 19 to 24 December, then for a Winter Opening from 29 December to 3 January
Flamingo Land, the theme park and zoo at Kirby Misperton near Malton, opens for Christmas Experience Days on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December, and every day from Saturday 19 to Thursday 24 December. Hours are 10am to 5.30pm, closing at 4pm on Christmas Eve.
Santa's Grotto has a story and a visit from Santa, in mixed sessions of 15 children. Around the park there is an elf hunt, letters to Santa, decoration making, gingerbread making and a Christmas lights switch-on with Peter Rabbit, with the show at 4.30pm and the lights at 4.45pm. The zoo is open, and a set of smaller rides runs, though the park says rides can change without notice.
The park then shuts from Christmas Day to 28 December and reopens for a Winter Opening from 29 December to 3 January, 10am to 4pm. Prices are not shown on the Christmas page, so check the day-ticket booking page before you go.
