Deer at dusk and half term at Fountains Abbey

A guided dusk walk among the deer in the autumn rut, then costumed re-enactors and a family trail at Fountains Abbey for the first weekend of half term

October is the rutting season for the deer at Studley Royal, and the National Trust leads a dusk walk through the park when they are at their loudest and most active. It needs booking.

At the start of half term costumed re-enactors are around the abbey ruins over the weekend, and a family trail begins. On the Friday and Saturday evenings in October the abbey is also floodlit, which has its own listing.
