Helmsley Arts Centre is a small theatre and music venue in the market town on the far side of Sutton Bank. This month the Brodsky Quartet come on their fiftieth anniversary tour.
The local 1812 Theatre Company have four nights of Death of a Salesman, suitable for ages 12 and over. Helmsley is about twenty-five minutes from Thirsk over the A170, so a matinee pairs well with lunch in town and a walk at the castle.
