Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresborough runs a Christmas village with Santa's grotto from 28 November to Christmas Eve, booked in timed sessions
From Saturday 28 November to Christmas Eve, Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresborough becomes a Christmas village. Children with a Santa Experience ticket get a wristband, an activity pack, a family visit to Santa in his grotto and a soft toy to take home. There is storytelling, reindeer food to fill, owl mail to Santa and the wishing trees, and the cave and wishing wells are open when the weather allows.
Everything is booked in timed sessions. Families need a group ticket, 44 to 46 for up to five people, and a Santa Experience ticket for each child who wants to see Santa. Some December sessions run into the evening, and on Christmas Eve the site closes at 3.30pm.
