Mowbray Singers concerts
The Mowbray Singers' autumn concert on Saturday 21 November at 7.30pm and their Christmas concert on Tuesday 15 December at 8pm, at St Oswald's Church in Sowerby
The Mowbray Singers, a choir that rehearses weekly and sings at venues around the area, give two concerts at St Oswald's Church on Front Street in Sowerby this winter. The autumn concert is on Saturday 21 November at 7.30pm, and Visit Thirsk lists the programme as music by Purcell, Bach's Double Violin Concerto and Vivaldi's Gloria. The Christmas concert is on Tuesday 15 December at 8pm.
The choir sells tickets in advance through White Rose Books in Thirsk and through its members. It does not publish a price; Visit Thirsk lists the autumn concert at 10, with under-16s free. Front Street in Sowerby starts about twelve minutes' walk south of the Market Place.
