Here Comes Christmas in Richmond
Richmond's Christmas weekend, 27 to 29 November, with the lights switch-on on Friday, a twilight market on Saturday and the Christmas Fair on Sunday
Here Comes Christmas is Richmond's Christmas weekend, run from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November by the town's own Richmond Presents programme.
On Friday there is music and rides in the Market Place from 5pm, with mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas shopping in the Indoor Market. Santa switches on the Christmas lights in Friary Gardens at 6pm, and a Christmas market follows at Richmondshire Cricket Club.
Saturday is a Christmas shopping day around the town, with the Christmas Twilight Market in the Market Place, and an Arthur Christmas Stay and Play, with workshops and the film, at the Station from 10am to 3pm.
On Sunday the Richmond Christmas Fair opens in the Market Place at 10am with a 2k fun run. The Stay and Play at the Station runs 10am to 4pm, and Richmondshire Museum holds a Vintage Christmas from 11am to 3pm with workshops and Santa. Richmond is about forty minutes from Thirsk.
