Workshops and an exhibition at Rural Arts

The Old Courthouse on Westgate has a free art group exhibition until 17 October, with evening and day-long making workshops through the month

Rural Arts is the cross-arts centre in the Old Courthouse on Westgate, five minutes from the square. Through October its gallery has the Thirlby Art Group exhibition, with work from fifteen artists in paint, print and pastel, all of it for sale.

Alongside it the studios run making workshops. Places are limited and booked online, so check the Rural Arts site before you set off. The half-term workshops for children are listed separately.
