Rural Arts runs a monthly music night at the Old Courthouse on Westgate, five minutes from the square. In November it is Katie Spencer, a singer and guitarist, on Thursday 5 at 7.30pm, the night of Bonfire Night, if you would rather a gig than fireworks.

On Wednesday 11 November, Armistice Day, the Courthouse shows the film Our Freedom in the afternoon and follows it with a workshop making poppies. Both are booked through Rural Arts.
